STAR WARS TOURS -TUNISIA
DAY 1: Tunis airport - Tunis
Upon arrival in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Tunis. After checking in at Majestic hotel 4*, dinner (buffet) & overnight.
DAY 2: Tunis – Kairouan – Sbeitla - Tozeur
After breakfast, our tour will depart for Kairouan. Kairouan is a city known for its mosques and world famous carpet making craft industry. The great mosque, and the mausoleum of the barber companion of the prophet Mohamed, is two of the city’s famous religious sites. We also visit a carpet making workshop to learn how carpets are designed and handmade. After lunch our tour heads to the archaeological site of Sbeitla. This site presents well preserved ruins such as temples, beautiful baptisteries, a thermal complex, a triumphal arch and forts dating back to the Byzantine period. Sbeitla also hosts an original antiquities museum to display excavated objects.
Continue to Tozeur, check in at Ras El Ain hotel 4*. Dinner (buffet) & overnight.
DAY 3: Chebika – Tamerza – Chott el Gharsa- Tozeur (Episode I – II-III and IV )
After breakfast, our tour will set out for the spectacular mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza, and Mides. Here, we'll have ample time to hike through these remarkable oasis areas, immersing ourselves in the breathtaking scenery of desert springs, dramatic canyons, and cascading waterfalls, all nestled near the Algerian border. Following lunch, our adventure continues to Ong Jmal, a stunning location amidst towering sand dunes, famously known as a key desert filming site for the Star Wars saga (specifically Episodes I & II, and the Lars Homestead for Episodes II, III & IV).
Back to the hotel of stay in Tozeur. Dinner (buffet) & overnight.
DAY 4: Bou Hlel – Douz – Matmata (Episode I – II and IV)
After breakfast, our adventure begins with a visit to the iconic Star Wars Canyon (Sidi Bouhlel). This dramatic landscape served as the backdrop for key scenes in Episode IV, depicting the Jundland Wastes, and also featured in thrilling sequences of the Pod Race from Episode I.
Next, we traverse the vast, shimmering expanse of the dry salt lake, Chott El Jerid, a truly unique natural wonder. Upon arrival in Douz, the "Gateway to the Sahara," you'll have the exciting optional opportunity for a 1-hour camel ride into the majestic desert, offering an authentic taste of Saharan life.
Following lunch, we drive to the captivating village of Matmata. This distinctive region of Tunisia is renowned for its unique Berber heritage and the ancient troglodyte dwellings carved into the earth. Matmata proudly showcases these fascinating Berber troglodyte houses, where local families graciously open their homes, often inviting visitors to share a traditional cup of tea. Our visit also includes the famous Hotel Sidi Driss, an actual filming location for Star Wars. This remarkable troglodyte hotel features five courtyards, with four surrounded by rooms, and the fifth, aptly named the "Star Wars courtyard," serving as the restaurant – famously the setting for the dining room and kitchen of the Lars Homestead.

DAY 5: Ksar Hededa – Tataouine – Ksar Ouled Soltane
After breakfast, we delve into the unique Ksour region, visiting Ksar Hadada. This fortified Berber granary (or ksar) with its distinct ghorfa cells inspired George Lucas's "Tatooine" and famously appeared as the Mos Espa slave quarters in Star Wars: Episode I, including scenes with Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Shmi Skywalker.
We then proceed to Tataouine for lunch. Post-lunch, our journey takes us to Ksar Ouled Soltane, one of Tunisia's best-preserved ksour. This magnificent site, featuring two courtyards and over 400 multi-level ghorfas, also served as a key Star Wars: Episode I filming location, depicting the Mos Espa slave quarters where Anakin Skywalker lived as a boy.

DAY 6: Tataouine – Douiret – Cheneni - Sfax
After breakfast, we continue our captivating exploration of this rugged, dramatic region, situated on the edge of the vast desert that blankets nearly one-third of Tunisia.
Our first stop is the remote Dahar village of Douiret, truly a magnificent sight perched amidst sharply delineated peaks. Here, ancient stone buildings and fascinating cave homes cling halfway up the steep mountainside, all centered around its distinctive white mosque.
Afterwards, we'll journey to the village of Chenini, a mesmerizing settlement perched atop a dizzying ridge. Chenini stands as one of the few Berber-speaking villages in the area that remains inhabited, offering a rare glimpse into a living cultural heritage. A knowledgeable local guide will lead us along its winding paths, allowing us to visit some of the traditional homes and gain a deeper understanding of their unique way of life.
Drive to Sfax, Check in at Radisson Blu Sfax hotel 5*, Dinner (buffet) & overnight.
Day 7: Sfax – El Djem – Sousse – Tunis (Episode I)
After breakfast, departure to El Djem (ancient Thysdrus) to visit the largest and most spectacular Roman Amphitheatres in North Africa and the best preserved in the world. This colossal edifice classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch and departure to Sousse to visit its Medina (old town), a UNESCO World heritage Site. Transfer to your hotel in Tunis. Dinner (buffet) & overnight.
DAY 8: Tunis - Tunis Airport
After breakfast, you will be transferred by car to the airport for departure.
